Capture Plan Agency is a sole proprietorship based in Calgary, Alberta. This policy explains what personal information this website collects, why, and what happens to it afterward.
Questions, requests, or complaints go to Kaydan Pring — kaydan@captureplanagency.com. I am the privacy officer for Capture Plan, and I answer these myself.
When you book a call. Your name, work email address, company name or website, your answer to the qualifying question on the form, and your phone number if you choose to give it. Booking is handled by Cal.com, which collects this on my behalf.
When you email me. Whatever is in the message, plus your address and signature block.
When you visit the site. I use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used — pages viewed, referring source, approximate location, device and browser type, and how long people stay. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and assigns your device a random identifier so it can recognize a returning visit. It does not tell me your name, and I do not attempt to connect it to anyone individually.
I do not run advertising, and I have not linked analytics to any advertising platform. I do not sell personal information, and I do not share it with advertisers.
This site uses cookies for two things.
Google Analytics, as described above. You can decline them, and the site works exactly the same.
Cal.com may set a cookie while you are scheduling, so the booking form works.
You can also clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time, or use Google's opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
That is the complete list. If I ever want to use your information for something outside it, I will ask you first.
Running this business means using other people's tools. These are the ones that touch your information.
These providers operate globally, and your information is likely to be stored or processed outside Canada, including in the United States. While it is in another country it is subject to that country's laws, including lawful access by its courts and government agencies. If that is a problem for your organization, tell me and we will find another way to work.
From our last contact, then deleted.
For as long as the mailbox exists, reviewed on the same schedule.
Retained by Google, then deleted.
If you want your information deleted sooner, ask and I will do it — except where I am legally required to keep it, such as records attached to an invoice.
Accounts use multi-factor authentication. Access is limited to me. Vendors are chosen partly on their security posture.
This is a one-person business, which means very few people ever touch your data. It also means I will be straight with you: no company of any size can promise perfect security. If a breach happens that creates a real risk of significant harm, I will notify you and the Privacy Commissioner, as PIPEDA requires.
You can ask me to:
Email me. PIPEDA gives me 30 days to respond; it will normally be the same week.
If you are not satisfied with how I handle your request, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca) or, for Alberta matters, the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta (oipc.ab.ca).
Any commercial email I send identifies who I am, says how to reach me, and carries a working unsubscribe link. Unsubscribe and I stop contacting you. That is what CASL requires, and it is also just the deal.
If anything here changes materially, the date at the top changes with it. The current version always lives at this address.
